Cernunnos (The Horned God) is the Celtic god of the forests, nature and wildlife. He is usually depicted with antlers of a stag in his head and wearing torcs. In other depictions, Cernunnos is seated cross-legged around animals such as stags, horned serpents, bulls and dogs. He is associated with fertility, wealth, and the cycle of life and seasons. The wild God of the forest signals the change of the seasons and the rebirth of Nature. Other deities similar to Cernunnos can be found in various mythologies such as the Greek God Pan or the characteristic figure of the Green Man.
