The Wolf cross pendant found in Fossi, Iceland, dates back to the Viking Age of the 10th Century. There are several theories about the meaning of the wolf cross due to its similarity with the Christian cross. Some people believe that it is a mixture of Thor's hammer and Christian cross while others that it is just a Thor's hammer amulet in which Vikings could place the so-called "sunstone" helping them to navigate. It determines the position of the sun, mounting the sunstone in the hole of the cross.
