This remarkable pendant depicts Thor while he's sitting on his throne and holds his hammer with two hands. Our seated Thor pendant is an accurate replica of the original artifact, the bronze statue of Eyrarland farm, in the Akureyri, area of Iceland. The authentic piece is on display in the National Museum of Iceland.
Despite the size of the original which is 6,7 cm our version is much smaller to make it fit as a pendant. It is cast in solid bronze.

Thor, the mighty God of Norse pantheon is the god of thunder, lightning, storms and strength! He is also known as the protector of Midgard who stands against every threat and protects the mankind and the other Aesir gods. It is believed that the famous "seated Thor" statue is related to a poem of Poetic Edda in which Thor is holding his hammer with both hands while sitting in a marriage ceremony.
